Certs...

A solution to a growing problem...

It's becoming a fact that there is a growing problem and some say it is out of control, I tend to agree... Many, if not most Parker Letters of Authenticity, LOA's, for low run and prototype knives are copies. Many have been remade, some even made from scratch. A little whiteout, a copy machine and a typewriter and you're in business. You can now make a cert for any non production Classic. Some people are brazen enough to hand write instead of typing the information. It's sad at best...

What collectors need is a cert that is matched to the knife, like the registration on your car. Many knives are unique in their classification and many more are unique to themselves. You need a cert that's not a copy, but an original. One that can't be copied or altered in any way...

We now have such a copyrighted cert... After 9 months of testing and distribution, a new cert is showing up on eBay and other places as a new standard of authenticity in our world of Classics. Designed to be a unique document, with a standardization of terms and descriptions so that 'one size' no longer fits all...

The new cert identifies all the unique characteristics of the knife for which it identifies. It denotes stampings, etches, serial numbers, engravings and if there are any deviations from the standard tang stamping of any blades. It gives the main blade tang stamp and the year. It differentiates between a bomb shield and the raised bomb shield, which I have never seen done on any cert before. In fact, that's not even shown in the book... On prototypes, many times the rear tang is number stamped, usually from a production knife with a different handle material. This cert will spell it out...

The new cert is now available exclusively to Case Classics Club members, which I hope will begin to stop all the copying and forging of all types of certifications. We now have a Case Classics Club, Authenticity Certificate (CCC AC) that can not be copied or altered without being very obvious. Each is a nicely done original on parchment paper and hand signed in blue ink. This new cert will eliminate, all of the incorrect, misleading descriptions and false information surrounding any Case Classic knife.

Here is an example of a Case Classics Club
TM copyrighted cert, the CCC AC, and the knife it certifies.
