CASE CLASSICS CLUBTM

REASONS TO JOIN AND PARTICIPATE

Do you eBay?

For all who read this BEWARE of some of the descriptions on knife auctions.  If you don't join the club and learn to know the knives, know this:

** The word CLASSIC is often used in such titles as CASE XX CLASSIC or CASE XX, Classic Stag Knife.  These are not necessarily a Case Classic knife.  It is VERY misleading and is being used in many titles and descriptions...

** Beware of Prototype listings, especially if one is listed as a 1 of 1...  This would be a rare knife and will only be an authentic knife if it is engraved a 1 of 1 or is sold with a PKCS cert with an ORIGINAL signature, not a copy...  A Case Classics Club original cert is also acceptable.

** Serial numbers have absolutely nothing to do with the order the knife was made or special status of any kind.  Serial numbers were issued at the request of the dealers or the buyers.  Prototypes only have serial numbers if they also say prototype.  In fact many collectors do not want a serial numbered knife because it's harder to sell. That fact makes it worth less money in many collector's eyes....

Case Classic boxes and certs are often used on non-Classic knives.

Descriptions are often wrong and very misleading.  Know your tang stamps, etches and shields... WR Case & Sons made knives in the early 90's and marked them with the year very similar to the Classics.  Classics are worth much more.  Know your tang stamps...

Don't ever buy a knife if the seller doesn't have a 100% return policy...  No matter who they are....

The value of a knife has absolutely nothing to do with the selling price.  Typically a knife valued at $1400 should sell for about $200 to a high of $400... There is no formula to relate values to actual selling price...

$10 to join the club could save you $50 or more on your first purchase...
